Community park
The 18th October marked a special milestone at Edenlife Australind with the opening of the very first community park.
Named Lester Park, in recognition of the contribution and commitment of the Lester Group to Edenlife Communities and all of its residents current and future.
Lester Park features a gazebo with BBQ + table & bench seating set amongst beautifully landscaped lawn and gardens with park benches also located on the grass in the sunshine. It’s the loveliest of spots to sit and enjoy life.
The opening was celebrated by the onsite Edenlife team and residents, joined by Russell & Adrian Lester and the Edenlife Communities management team who travelled down from Perth. Following the official opening of the park, the group came together to enjoy bowls and a sausage sizzle.
Social events
The social calendar at Edenlife Australind provides such an amazing array of events and activities for residents to choose from, they can do as much or as little as they like.
From regularly scheduled exercise groups (chair pilates, water aerobics, walking groups), social groups (Mates Monday, ladies’ afternoon, sundowners) to fish & chip nights and dinners at local restaurants. Let’s not forget the special one-off events like Melbourne Cup lunch, AFL watch party, Australia Day BBQ, Christmas dinner and Biggest Morning Tea amongst many others. All in all, there is something for everyone!
The community bus is also well utilised by groups of residents to make trips to many wonderful places like the Collie Mural Trail, Bridgetown Festival of Country Gardens, mini golf, Ikea and many more. It’s a great way to travel, enjoying not only the destination but also the journey as a group.
Take a look at November’s calendar to see just how many social options there are.
Introducing the Edenlife Australind gardening team
If you’ve ever wondered who keeps the gardens in tip top shape, then wonder no more.
Josh Golledge and his team at Golledge Landscape & Gardens are the local talent behind the great looking gardens. Not only does Josh and his team plant and maintain, but he also designs the landscaping to areas like pathways and community perimeter fence lines. His most recent design work was for the newly opened Lester Park which looks very inviting with its soft green lawn and bright & colourful plantings.
We are ever appreciative of the care and attention the GLG team give to the gardens in our community.
