Creating a Landscape That Feels Like Home
At Edenlife, we believe a home extends beyond its four walls. The surrounding landscape plays an important role in creating a welcoming community, encouraging connection with nature and providing beautiful spaces for residents to relax and enjoy.
We’re proud to showcase the stunning display garden at Edenlife Australind, brought to life by Golledge Landscape & Gardens in collaboration with Dogspike Designs. Their thoughtful approach combines beautiful design with practical, low-maintenance solutions that will continue to flourish for years to come.
At the heart of the landscape are handpicked Xanthorrhoea preissii (Grass Trees), carefully sourced from Grasstrees Australia and installed by the Golledge Landscape & Gardens team. These iconic Western Australian natives provide a striking focal point while celebrating the unique beauty of our local environment.
Throughout the garden, a carefully selected palette of native grasses, groundcovers and Westringia has been planted to create a soft, flowing landscape that will naturally develop into cloud-like forms over time. Complementing these are Melaleuca quinquenervia trees, chosen for their long flowering season, helping to attract birds, bees and other pollinators while supporting a healthy and thriving ecosystem.
Privacy and character are achieved through a Jarrah railway sleeper feature wall, softened by densely planted Casuarina to create a lush green backdrop that feels both natural and inviting.
Every detail has been thoughtfully considered to balance aesthetics with everyday functionality. A tranquil water feature incorporates a self-filling system and overflow drainage for easy maintenance, while a hidden hose reel is cleverly concealed behind the railway sleepers to keep the space looking clean and uncluttered.
The custom-built shade structure creates an inviting place to gather, featuring beautiful Sicilian-style roofing and a classic Australian water chain that adds both charm and function. Multiple seating areas, including a solid two-piece bench with backing, provide comfortable spaces to relax, catch up with neighbours or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings.
