Over the last week Edenlife has hosted two sneak peek events. We welcomed over 70 guests between Saturday the 26th and Wednesday the 30th of September who attended the pre-launch and sundowner events. This consisted of a tour of the beautiful new clubhouse and the stunning new display homes. Guests enjoyed light refreshments and nibbles while CEO Bill Marshall explained the Edenlife journey, benefits of downsizing to a lifestyle community and answering all questions from guests.
The clubhouse grand opening is scheduled for the 31st of October. A few busy weeks until then will see the final touches around the facilities being complete. The team from EarthCare are continuing with the landscaping around the back of the clubhouse with the front entrance now finished. The landscaping consists of a range of native waterwise plants sourced from around the South-West region, surrounded by hard mulch, trees and granite rocks. Accompanying the Earthcare team saw the installation of our solar panels from Source Energy. The solar acts as a shade barrier for the lawn bowl green as well as providing assistance to power the clubhouse, residential houses (covers about half of their power bill) and the indoor heated pool. The Edenlife community has been specifically designed to reduce our environmental footprint with these and a range of other initiatives.
The workshop and recycling centre is now being prepared for resident’s use. With the help of residents already living at Edenlife, tools, equipment, workbenches and storage are gradually being organized into a workable venue ready for big and little tasks. Edenlife has provided residents access to a range of equipment and tools for all those jobs where you have space and equipment required for any task. The community garden has also made progress with the concrete planter beds installed by a 15-metre crane, with final touches for retic, mulching and planting to be finished in the coming weeks.
In the next 25 days until the grand opening, we will see the finishing touches and a final clean up around the clubhouse. If you would like to come to the grand opening, RSVP via the events tab on our website. We will have Hon. Mick Murray to officially open the clubhouse with well-known event MC Mr Tim Gossage. We are expecting an exciting day, with over 100 guests attending to celebrate this significant event for the community of Edenlife. If you can’t make the grand opening there is no need to worry, our local manager and sales consultant Linda is available for personal tours of the clubhouse and display homes Tuesday to Saturday 10 am – 4 pm.
