Edenlife Australind's Spring Community Market: A Morning to Remember
Spring has well and truly sprung at Edenlife, and last Saturday’s Community Market proved it in the best possible way. From the moment the gates opened at 9:00am, it was clear this wasn’t going to be an ordinary market morning.
The market committee were absolutely astounded by the turnout. Several returning stallholders remarked that the crowd was 3 to 4 times busier than previous markets, a fantastic sign of just how much our community has embraced this spring tradition.
As always, the heart of the market was our incredible mix of stallholders, with around half being talented Edenlife residents showcasing their own handmade creations, alongside a wonderful lineup of local community makers. Shoppers browsed everything from:
- Handmade crafts and jewellery
- Freshly baked goods and candles
- Plants and wooden creations
- Gifts, metal art, and 3D-printed items
- Sewing and macramé creations
- Crystals – and so much more
No Edenlife market is complete without our famous homemade scones with jam and cream, and this Saturday they proved more popular than ever. Demand was so high that stallholders had completely sold out of scones by around 10am, a wonderful problem to have!
Meanwhile, the sausage sizzle was an absolute hit with the crowd. The team found themselves dashing off for three separate sausage restocks throughout the morning just to keep up with hungry visitors. If ever there was proof of a market favourite, this was it.
Between the raffle, scones, and sausage sizzle, the market raised an incredible over $2,200 – a fantastic result that left the committee absolutely over the moon.
A huge thank you to everyone who came along, browsed the stalls, grabbed a snag, and supported our talented residents and local makers. Mornings like this are what make the Edenlife community so special.
We can’t wait to see you at the next one – spring spirit and all!
